Senior/Junior Champoinships

A group of York City Baths Club swimmers travelled to Sheffield over the 3 days of bank holiday weekend to compete in the North Eastern County Senior/Junior Championships.  The swimmers produced some outstanding swims making finals semi-finals and a National Youth Qualifying time and numerous personnel best times.

The finalist was Nick Boaz who swam superb in the semi finals to give him a place in a top class field final of the 100m Breaststroke in a pb time, nick finished 8^th in the final, he also made the semi-final of the 50m breastroke in another pb swim.   The national qualifying time came from Michelle Moffat in the 400m Freestyle in a pb time; Michelle also had a pb swim in the 800m freestyle just missing out on another qualifying time.

The swimmers making semi-finals were-

Andrew Fowler who made the 50m & 100m Breastroke just missing the final in the 50m breastroke being reserve in pb swims, he also made the semi – final of the 50m Freestyle in a pb time which was 100^th of a second of qualifying for the youth national championships.

Alice Lawrenson made the 50m & 100m Breastroke

Mairi Macdonald made the 100m Breastroke; Mairi also had pb swims in the 200m breastroke and 50m freestyle

Hannah Waterfall 50m Backstroke
