North Eastern Counties Masters Open Championship

Once again the team from York City Baths Club showed the benefit of the training sessions that they attend. A team of 4 men, Paul Wainwright age group 25/29, Richard Rymer 40/44, Alan Berry 60/64 and Peter Kendrew 65/69 swam in 8 individual event and came away with 3 Gold and 1 Silver medals, while a similar sized team of women, Denise Rymer 35/39, Anna Nicholson 35/39, Carol Brown 55/59 and Pat Baxter 75+ swam in 13 individual events and won 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze. Special mention should be made of Alan Berry winning 2 Gold’s and Pat Baxter 4 Gold. In addition members swam in 3 relay events winning 2 and coming second in the third.
